On 4 February, a Consultation Day, co-organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education and related universities, was launched at Al-Quds University. The activities attracted nearly 1,500 high school students from Jerusalem and the surrounding area. CIAQU participated in the event as a featured program.
During the event, the oil-paper umbrella, Chinese knots, large red lanterns, brush calligraphy works and Chinese books on the booth of CIAQU attracted the attention of visitors. Many teachers and students lined up at the scene to experience the traditional Chinese costumes, shuttlecock and calligraphy.
Visitors at the scene also signed their names in a piece of paper to cheer on the people of Wuhan for the battle against the new coronavirus virus, and to express their blessings to the Chinese government and people.
Since the establishment of the Confucius Institute, the number of Chinese learners at Al-Quds University has been growing rapidly, and Chinese has become one of the most popular languages.
