On April 18, 2019, the First Board-of-Directors meeting for CI-AQU was convened in Chinese partner-university Jiangxi Normal University.

Prof. IMAD F.S. ABUKISHEK signed the IMPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE AT AL-QUDS UNIVERSITY together with Prof. MEI GUOPING, President of Jiangxi Normal University. The minutes of the meeting was signed as an official document.

The two sides had a seminar on the key projects of CI-AQU within the year, i.e., the inauguration ceremony and the preparation of Chinese teachers. The nomination of the Board-of-Directors of CI-AQU was approved in the meeting. Mr. SAID A.A. ABUALI is engaged as a senior advisor for CI-AQU. The meeting audited and approved the Development Plan of Confucius Institute at Al-Quds University (2019-2023) and the initial budget proposal in principle.
