On February 22nd, 2020, Al-Quds University signed agreements on Chinese language education with Birzeit University and Al-Quds Open University. Guo Wei, Director of the Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine attended the ceremony.

Guo Wei expressed his gladness to see that Chinese language education is spreading from Al-Quds University, a prestigious Palestinian university, to other universities, and hoped that Chinese language education would cover other regions in Palestine.

During the visit, Guo Wei also visited the Chinese book corner in Al-Quds University library, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Imad Abukishek, President of Al-Quds University, Prof. Dr.  Younis Amro, President of Al-Quds Open University, and Engineer Adnan Samara, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Quds Open University also President of Palestine-China Friendship Association, and observed the Chinese language class. At the Confucius Institute, Guo Wei encouraged all Chinese teachers to mobilize the enthusiasm of Palestinians to learn Chinese and to promote language and cultural exchanges between China and Palestine.

Since 2020, Al-Quds University has signed agreements on Chinese language education cooperation with two Palestinian government bodies and three universities.
