On May 19, 2020, 166 students from Al-Quds University participated in the final exams of Chinese courses for the second semester of the 2019-2020 academic year.
The exams, including Chinese I and Chinese II, were conducted by distance. Chinese teachers ensured the smooth conduct of the exam by organizing pre-test orientation and designing web-based answer sheets.
Students overcame many challenges such as Ramadan, high temperature and poor internet access to take the exams. "Thank you, teacher! I was very anxious about all kinds of problems before the exam, the result turned out to be very satisfactory," a student sent this message to his Chinese teacher after the exam.
187 students from Al-Quds University selected Chinese I, Chinese II or Chinese Culture I offered by Confucius Institute this semester. As a result of the outbreak of the pandemic disease, all the above courses have been taught by distance since mid-March, 2020.
