On Feb. 17th, 2020, Dr. Shadi Khalayleh, Mr. Li Haijun and Chinese teacher Yi Fei visited Al-Quds Open University administration building located in Ramallah.

Professor Dr. Younis Amr of the President of Al-Quds Open University met with the delegation in the presence of Engineer Adnan Samara, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, also President of the China-Palestine Friendship Association, and Dr. Hosni Awad, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research of the university.

Adnan said that the establishment of the Confucius Institute is an ardent expectation of the Palestinian people, Confucius Institute plays an important role in the educational exchange between Palestine and China. Younis gave a brief introduction to Al-Quds Open University and its plan to open a Chinese course. Dr. Shadi shared the model of Chinese language education cooperation between CIAQU and other institutions. The two sides plan to offer Chinese language as a credit course at Al-Quds Open University with teachers from CIAQU.
