On 21 January, Dr. Imad Abukishek, President of Al-Quds University, signed a memorandum of understanding on Chinese educational cooperation with the representatives of the Palestinian General Military Training Commission, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and Al-Istiqlal University.

Prior to the signing ceremony, Dr. Imad introduced the Chinese education and cultural activities carried out by CIAQU and said that the Chinese educational cooperation between Al-Quds University and other institutions aims to promote the integration of Confucius Institutes into the Palestinian community and enhance the influence of Confucius Institute in the local areas.

The representatives of the three partners pointed out that the traditional friendship between Palestine and China is deep and that learning Chinese will enhance the Palestinian people's understanding of the Chinese culture and promote Palestine-China cooperation to a new level.

According to the MOU, CIAQU will send Chinese teachers to the partner agencies to offer Chinese training or credit courses. At the signing ceremony, CIAQU presented the International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education, HSK Test Syllabus and other Chinese teaching materials to the three partners.
