On January 7, 2020, Dr. Shadi Khalayleh, and Mr. Li Haijun visited Al-Istiqlal University located in Jericho. His Excellency Major General Dr. Tawfiq Al-Tirawi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University received the delegation in the presence of Prof. Hamdan Taha, Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Dr. Shadi explained the business scope of Confucius Institute. The two parties explored possibility of offering Chinese language as a credit course at Al-Istiqlalr University and providing Chinese training course targeting community people such as tour guides.
